Biography
Prof. M. N. Jha, Ph. D is Head of the Department of Microbiology at Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa in Bihar, India. He made a mark as a farm scientist and one of the most illustrious scientist in the field of microbial fertilizer and food. On 29th January, 1986 he joined the Rajendra Agricultural University as Assistant Professor and initiated and organized cyanobacterial research work in Agricultural University. The work was further strengthened from 1992 onwards through DBT, ICAR, NHB, Govt. of Bihar financed project and finally lead to a centre of ANIP (Biofertilizer), centre of mushroom and National Agricultural innovative project. His scientific contribution covered a wide range of basic and applied aspects of biological nitrogen fixation and mushroom viz. formulation of inexpensive cyanobacterial biofertilizer for cyanobacterial grazers infested field, manipulation of agricultural practices for enhancing microbial nutrient contribution, placement of cyanobacteria in midrib of rice for artificial symbiosis, a new symbiotic relationship between typha and mycorhiza , salt scavanging cyanobacteria and its application and sustainable and economic bionutrient package for rice through conventional wedding of Pleurotus, Pseudomonas, Azospirillum and cyanobacteria. Author of 8 books, forty research papers, twelve concept/review paper, ten book chapter, nine project report, twenty five seminar/symposium paper and twenty eight popular article. Dr. Jha was recipient of several awards and honours. Notable among them are the USDA award, Institutional best researcher award and academic promotion award. He is a member of several scientific societies and reviewers of many National/International journal, ICAR/DBT project and also member of many committees.

Biography
Mark Enright was appointed Professor of Medical Microbiology at Manchester Metropolitan University in March 2014. He has held several positions in academia including a Professorship at Imperial College London and a Senior Research Fellowship / Readership at Bath University. He recently returned to academia after five years in the biotechnology industry spent in various roles including Research Director for Ampliphi Biosciences Corp. and lead advisor to Synthetic Genomics Vaccine Inc. in the area of antimicrobial R&D.

Biography
Friedrich Goetz obtained his PhD in 1978. Since 1987 he is professor of the department "Microbial Genetics" at the University Tübingen. His main interest is biofilm physiology, immune response and virulence of staphylococci. He is reviewer for many journals, consultant for many national and international research institutions and has >300 peer reviewed publication (h-index 68).
